Who Cares? Podcast
A Podcast About Care, People & Choices
Who Cares? – Conversations about care is a space for honest discussion about care, the experiences, challenges, questions and moments that often go unspoken.
Whether you are receiving care yourself or helping a family member, partner or friend navigate their care journey, you are not alone. We hear from people living through the realities of care. We talk to those receiving care, family members, the carers themselves, as well as to those responsible for delivering and managing care services.

Together, we explore the issues that matter, from the challenges of making difficult decisions and understanding available choices to maintaining independence, identity and meaningful relationships. We also talk openly about the emotional impact care can have on everyone involved.
Because sometimes, hearing someone else say, “I’ve been there too,” can make all the difference.
Our hope is to create a space where people can listen, learn and feel understood, and perhaps discover something that helps them or someone they love along their own care journey.
Real stories. Honest conversations. A reminder that none of us should have to navigate care alone.
So, if you have a story that you think could help others, please do get in touch by email at whocares@delorecare.com. We’d love to hear from you.
Who Cares? – Conversations about care, brought to you by Delore Care.
EPISODE 01
Caring From the Heart: Connie’s Life of Helping Others
Connie shares a lifetime of caring for others, from supporting older neighbours and family members to serving her wider community. She explains why the best care comes from the heart and means seeing life through another person’s eyes.
Reflecting on the people she has helped, the father she wishes she had supported more and the neighbour whose love of life returned, Connie reveals how kindness, gratitude and practical care can transform lives, and why doing your best for others is the foundation of a life well lived.
EPISODE 02
More Than Just a Care Visit: Kike’s Vision for Care at Home
Domiciliary care is about far more than completing tasks. Delore Care founder Kike Olatundun explains how relationship-centred care can help people remain safely at home, preserve their dignity and independence, and allow relatives to be family again.
Drawing on more than a decade in care, she discusses how kindness, compassion and trust create better support, how families can gradually introduce care when a loved one is resistant, and how technology could give people greater control over their future care choices.
EPISODE 03
From Primary Carer Back to Daughter: Sue’s Family Story
Choosing care for ageing parents can be difficult, especially when they resist outside help. Sue shares how her mother’s fall, her father’s dementia and the strain on her own health forced her family to confront a decision they could no longer avoid.
She discusses the difficult search for the right carer, the bond her mother eventually formed with one and the peace of mind this brought. Most importantly, professional care has allowed Sue to step back from being the primary carer.
EPISODE 04
When Dementia Changes a son's relationship with his father: Nick’s Story
When dementia affects someone you love, the whole family must learn to adapt. Nick shares the emotional and practical realities of managing his father’s 13-year dementia journey, from coordinating his care to learning patience and new ways to communicate from an experienced carer.
He reflects on precious moments of connection, the comfort of knowing his father is well cared for and why families should talk openly, listen, learn and share their experiences.
